Ikebana Vases (2024)

This series was inspired by the centuries-old Japanese art of flower arranging. The form of the vessels and the shape of their openings force the plants into dynamic compositions. All plants were found growing on the streets of Brooklyn, mostly weeds and dead flowers that might not typically be considered beautiful.
