Orphism Prints

Inspired by 20th Century modernist painters Robert and Sonia Delaunay and their post-cubist movement Orphism, I designed a collection of prints meant to evoke a feeling of timelessness, both classic and modern. The juxtaposition of physical and digital mediums, old and new, produces a result somewhere between Bauhaus and Murakami, 1920s Paris to 2020s New York. I based all of the prints on the same grid system and used the color palette I developed for the Splendid Spring 2027 Prospectus. The final two prints are meant to be a much larger scale for placement on the body. Below, you can see the print swatches as well as repeats and mockups on dress designs.
