The girls had an austere childhood. Sheltered from their basest desires, they grew to crave that which they had been deprived. As one by one they achieved the agency they had long sought, they allowed themselves to be destroyed from within by vanity. The steps we take to mold our own image can leave us permanently scarred in our quest for perfection, for better or worse. What is the price of beauty?
